Josh McGee is an economist who is an associate professor in the Department of Education Reform at the University of Arkansas, where he holds the 21st Century Endowed Chair in Education Accountability and Transparency. He is also a faculty affiliate of the Office for Education Policy, which is a leading research-practice partnership focused on improving Arkansas education outcomes. He prioritizes policy-relevant questions and collaboration with governments and nonprofits to help them use data and evidence to make informed decisions. His research investigates critical issues in retirement policy, P–20 education, and economic development and has appeared in numerous popular media outlets and prominent scholarly journals. He has extensive experience working in leadership roles in education, government, nonprofits, and philanthropy.
