NWEA’s Emily Morton will share summative findings on tutoring and summer school from the Road to COVID Recovery project—a joint research initiative between CALDER at AIR, the Center for Education Policy Research (CEPR) at Harvard, and NWEA. Working with districts across the country, the project examined how key COVID‑recovery interventions were implemented and the impact on student outcomes.

The session will highlight what the research team has learned about the reach, dosage, and effectiveness of these programs across multiple years, as well as the practical challenges districts faced in delivering them at scale. Emily will offer a high‑level look at what worked, what fell short, and what the evidence suggests for future recovery efforts.
