Board hears community, teacher, student feedback on hybrid calendar

At a Willow Springs School District special board hearing with the public about potentially transitioning to a four-day school week, community member Donna Graves shared an article summarizing evidence from a multi-state analysis on the impact of four-day school weeks from CALDER researcher Emily Morton. Quoting Morton, Graves read, "If your goal is saving money, boosting attendance, or recruiting and retaining teachers, research does not provide much support for the argument that four-day weeks are delivering the intended benefits."
