Sara DeLano
Sara is the Dean for Educator Pathways at the School of Education within Dallas College. Prior to joining Dallas College, Sara served as the Executive Director for Educator Workforce with the Louisiana Department of Education. In this role, she led key policy and teacher workforce initiatives. This included developing Louisiana's innovative and nationally recognized teacher preparation accountability system, establishing a statewide, high-dosage mentoring policy for teachers being prepared through alternate certification routes, and launching a Recruitment and Retention Fellowship focused on best practices in talent management for 16 school systems across the state. Sara has almost a decade of experience in the non-profit sector leading cultural and professional exchange programs in partnership with the Republics of Germany and Korea, U.S. Congress, and fortune 500 companies. Sara holds a Bachelor's of Arts in Political Science and German from the University of Michigan, a Master's of Arts in Teaching from PACE University, a Master's in Business Administration from New York University and a Master's in Educational Leadership from the Broad Residency.
